GOWRISA EYE HOSPITAL is headed by Dr C R Sivakumar and who is the Director and the Chief Consultant.He took his MBBS from the oldest and the most prestigious Medical College in Kerala,Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram. After finishing MBBS he joined the prestigious Regional Institute of Ophthalmology Thiruvananthapuram to pursue a postgraduate degree in Ophthalmology.
Susequent to acquiring MS Degree and Diploma in Ophthalmology he joined the Kerala Health Services Department as District Ophthalmic Surgeon, Idukki District. During his tenure he has had the opportunity to organise and conduct several eye camps all over Idukki and perform numerous cataract surgeries.
Dr C R Sivakumar has undergone specialised training in surgeries of the anterior segment of the eye from prestigious instistutes.He has to his credit thousands of cataract surgeries including several difficult and complicted cases in his career spanning nearly two decades.
